Authors, Nancy and Sue, longtime friends, met when they were both teaching at the same high school. When Sue and Nancy retired, they collaborated, along with Dr. Joyce Piveral, Dean of Northwest Missouri State University, to write their first Teacher’s Tackle Box book designed for first year teachers. After the publication of this book, Sue and Nancy spent several years presenting workshops to new teachers, showing them how to quickly get to know their students personally, both emotionally and academically. Through this experience, Sue and Nancy realized that what they were sharing with new teachers would also be extremely helpful for homeschool educators. So, this Homeschool Tackle Box handbook is the result of a combined 60 plus years of teaching, workshop experience and a desire to share the art and heart of teaching.
