Stephen was admitted to the Michigan State Bar as an attorney in November of 2011. He is following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps as a third generation attorney at Kallman Legal Group, PLLC. Stephen graduated from the home education program of Noah Webster Academy in 2003. After playing Division I basketball at Maryland Eastern Shore University and Cleveland State University, he finished his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pre-Law/Business Administration in 2008. He then received his Juris Doctor Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011. He graduated Cum Laude and made the Dean’s List and Honor Roll every term while in law school. In February of 2012, Stephen testified in front of the Michigan House of Representatives in support of House Concurrent Resolution 11 which would support the Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Stephen is coauthor of a law review article published in the Liberty University School of Law, Law Review entitled, ” SUICIDE KILLING OF HUMAN LIFE AS A HUMAN RIGHT — The Continuing Devolution of Assisted Suicide Law in the United Kingdom” (6 LIBULR 27 (2011)). In 2001 Stephen received a scholarship to attend the Freedoms Foundation’s American Leaders Youth Summit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also attended the two week Summit Ministries Worldview Conference in Manitou Springs, Colorado that same year. Stephen married his wife, Paige, in 2010. Stephen and Paige’s son, Tyler, was born in the summer of 2014. Paige is a Registered Nurse and they live in the Lansing area.
