2018 Complete Conference Set
Jun. 23, 2018
Dads have it easy. Twenty years ago we used to say, “I’m the principal, and the principal is your pal.” Have times changed? Is education just a series of new chapters in a textbook? Does someone else make your decisions? “I’ve got my job and my hobbies—that keeps me busy enough.” Does your wife agree? Homeschool veteran Dick Karman will take a few minutes to remind us of God’s plan. You will look at your family from a different point of view. Honestly examine what God has to say for you and your house.

Mr. Karman is the founder of the OCEANetwork. He has lived through many changes. None of these have more effect on your rights to homeschooling than those we are seeing today. In the world every man's way is right in his own eyes. (Prov 21) The climate of Christian home education has changed. The warming that we see is the heat of hostility towards God’s plan. How long will the truth be permitted to be taught in your home or your homeschool? Is the truth worth fighting for?
Jul. 23, 2016
We’ll identify Christian leadership, be specific on how to encourage and support, get a grip on the “basics” and delineate what really counts. Dick will answer questions about the support issue from a bibical perspective. He’ll talk about the problems that have plagued leadership since the beginning and he'll be a frank about the new problems that have sprung out of social media. If God has called you to lead – lead! If God has not called you to lead – don’t. If you want to help the leaders in your group, if you want to define you role in leadership, or if you want to start a Christian support group, join us in this fast-paced summary of Christian homeschool leadership. Your mentor has been led by the Lord for 60 years and has been serving Christian homeschool leaders for 30 of those.

The 2015 Conference theme reminds us that "Our Hope is in the Lord" as we raise our families, tend our marriages, and homeschool. Sessions from the 2015 Oregon Christian Home Education Conference address all those aspects of Christian homeschool family life.
Jun. 19, 2015
"Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you" (Deuteronomy 32;7). Haven't Oregon families always had the freedom to homeschool? Isn't it a right of parents to choose how to educate their children? With the experience of serving Christian home educators for three decades and the wisdom of God's oversight and help through it all, the founder of the OCEANetwork will tell the stories of God's grace and "influence" in Salem as we speak of the ever-present threat to homeschool freedoms that can overtake us at any moment.

OR-2013 Anchored in Christ
Presented by: Oregon Christian Home Education Association Network"Be not deceived. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap” (Gal. 6:7). In this wonderful time of raising godly families, when we see excitement in the eyes of our youngsters and new learning is just around each corner, we sometimes forget who is in control. It’s not the government, contrary to what they tell you. God is not mocked! If we believe the heresy that comes from the White House, or the lies that are spewed from the liberal media, we may try to “give in” just to “get along.” Don’t! Hear Dick speak with the experience of three decades of leadership. Whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap.

Start Strong: You may think you’re just beginning, but others have gone before you. Learn from the lessons of those who have gone before. Enjoy God’s sense of humor when it comes to the last 25 years. Stay Strong: “Be strong in the Lord.” Human strength fails and fades, but His strength will help you stay strong. Have a plan to defend your freedom and hope that you’ll never use it. Finish Strong: The finish line is not in your hands, it is in your children’s children and generations to come. It’s not a stroll in the park – it’s a marathon. Endure “in the strength of His might” so that you can finish strong.

What can we do as parents to protect our rights to raise our children?
Jun. 21, 2008
The home is the easiest and most natural place to disciple our children. But the job is not an easy one and the responsibility falls on fathers. Sometimes it is daunting because we have never done it before. Sometimes it seems impossible because we don’t understand it. Sometimes it isn’t getting done because “I let my wife handle those things.” We’ll talk about the necessity of discipleship and some of the ways dads can tackle this project to the glory of God.
