As a pilot for American Airlines, Steve was very close to the events of 9/11. Steve was originally scheduled to be the co-pilot on AA Flight 11, the first flight to be hijacked on Sept. 11th, 2001. He was bumped from that flight the night before by a more senior pilot through an extraordinary set of divine circumstances. Now, he tells his deeply moving story of God’s providence on that terrible day in our history. Discover why God gave Steve a second chance and now uses him to teach parents worldwide how to train their children with purpose and urgency as he introduces you to The Nine Practices of The Proactive Parent. Intensely practical and Bible-based, the Nine Practices of The Proactive Parent gives parents both the necessary tools and the hope they need to build a Christ-centered and character-driven home environment. The Nine Practices are a great way to revitalize parents in the all-important task of parenting. This session will take highlights from the 10-week Parenting Matters small group study. Steve will unwrap the Three Pillars of Parenting, The Motivation Model, The Growth Continuum, The Proactive vs. Reactive Parent, and more.
- Want your teen to take more initiative around the house? - Want to reduce the “Drama” level in the family? - Want to get your pre-teens, teens, and young adults excited about character healthy living? Join “America’s Parenting Doctor,” Dr. Steve Scheibner, as he reveals seven practical steps for raising the behavior bar in your home. What does the 2nd Amendment really mean to your family? Most important, how do you practically live out your rights & defend your family? Is it Biblical to use force to stop violence against your loved ones? You will learn how to intellectually defend the Constitution, but also get some practical and powerful tips on the actual, physical defense of your family.

This is for your “puzzling child”. Is it a maturity issue, or is something else going on? If you have a bright, hardworking child who has to work too hard to learn, he is telling you that one or more of his Four Learning Gates is blocked. Find out specifically how the brain processes information, and where that processing can break down. Learn how to be your own diagnostician using a checklist of symptoms; then learn the necessary interventions. It doesn’t have to be so hard for your child!
In this workshop we will be completing a dissection together while taking a closer look at the challenges a dissection at home can present. Together we will also answer questions such as where specimens can be sourced, what preservation methods are available and what are important safety considerations.
Are Quarantines and other Covid restrictions Constitutional? In this presentation, Rick answers the questions raised as we are living out what seems like a dystopian novel. How far can the government restrict your movements, your church gatherings, and your ability to work? What criteria must be met for a public health emergency to trigger the things we are seeing across the Nation? Where do you go for due process if government overreaches it’s constitutional authority? What can we do to restore rational, scientific, constitutional responses to this and future situations?

And discover that using His principles can bring joy and peace to your home-based discipleship adventure.

Educational pioneer, Charlotte Mason, championed the idea of “notebooking”. But, this wonderful extension of learning can be dated back long before she gave it a name. We all have at least one of these children. They take extra time to complete every lesson, if they complete them at all. We may fall into the trap of sitting by them to “help” them finish, only to become an educational security blanket. We need to encourage these children to take up their own responsibilities. Their desire should be to work diligently for the Lord. Join us as we go over helpful suggestions to encourage those less-than-enthusiastic children.
Krista will share her tips and tricks on setting your homeschool on autopilot. She'll walk through simple and cheap hacks to keep mom well-planned and sane as well as cultivating children who take initiative for their own daily work. She will share her family's chore, discipline and character development charts, because homeschooling isn't only about growing smart kids, but kids who love the Lord! Organization comes easy to some and is "Greek" to others. You are welcome to come and learn a little "Greek" and hopefully leave with lighter shoulders and some new tools in your toolbelt!
